Which was the First Country to Make Education Compulsory
During the 18th century, the Kingdom of Prussia was among the first countries in the world to introduce tax-funded and generally compulsory primary education, comprising an eight-year course of primary education, called Volksschule. Today, Volksschule is the Austrian equivalent to the German word Grundschule and the Swiss German word Primarschule, for example "primary school".
The Prussian system instituted compulsory attendance, specific training for teachers, national testing for all students. It provided not only the skills needed in an early industrialized world but also a strict education in ethics, duty, discipline and obedience. This educational system instructed students on basic educational concepts, such as mathematics, writing, and reading. At the same time, it also taught things like obedience, duty to country, and general ethics.
By the mid-19th century a number of seminal American educators had traveled to Germany to see how the system was actually working, and they returned to the United States as zealous converts, advocating intensely for the United States to adopt the system.

The story of a blind girl
There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for
her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her
boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:
“Just take care of my eyes dear.”
This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

3G or 3rd Generation Mobile Telecommunications
Third Generation or 3G is a generic term used for the next generation of
mobile communication systems. The 3G network gives you the power of

First Country to introduce 3G
The first pre-commercial 3G network was launched by NTT DoCoMo in Japan,
branded as FOMA. It was first available in May 2001 as a pre-release
(test) of W-CDMA technology.
The first commercial launch of 3G was also by NTT DoCoMo in Japan on 1
October 2001. Today there are about 60 3G networks across 25
countries. The first commercial United States 3G network was by Monet
Mobile Networks. Emtel Launched the first 3G network in Africa.
Advantage of 3G over 2G?
Running on technology called High Speed Packet Access (HSPA), 3G
networks can send data many times faster than the rates of earlier 2G
networks, which means that in addition to audio, graphics and text, 3G
customers can also send and receive video content in 3G coverage areas.
3G allows high speed Internet and data services on the move. With 3G
you can make video calls and use a host of other multimedia services
which are not available in 2G. 3G can be experienced with 3G connection
and 3G compatible mobile handset in 3G covered areas.
What is HSPA and WCDMA?
• HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) is a new generation communication
protocol that allows data connections up to 21 Mbps per user in good
coverage and quality conditions. Today mobile phones & USB Data
Cards are available with HSPA.
• WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) is a 3G technology version that allows data connections up to 384 Kbps per user in good coverage and quality conditions.

BHARAT RATNA
‘Bharat Ratna’, the highest civilian award of India, was instituted in the year 1954.Any person without distinction of race, occupation, position or sex is eligible for these awards.
It is awarded for exceptional service towards advancement of Art, Literature and Science, and in recognition of public service of the highest order.
The recommendations for Bharat Ratna are made by the Prime Minister himself to the President. No formal recommendations for this are necessary.
The number of annual awards is restricted to a maximum of three in a particular year.
On conferment of the award, the recipient receives a Sanad (certificate) signed by the President and a medallion.
The award does not carry any monetary grant.
In terms of Article 18 (1) of the Constitution, the award cannot be used as a prefix or suffix to the recipient’s name. However, should an award winner consider it necessary, he/she may use the following expression in their bio-data/letterhead/visiting card etc. to indicate that he/she is a recipient of the award: –
